The Winter Solstice Fashion Gala hit the runway December 1st at the Light Box located in Miami’s Wynwood Art district. Event director Beverly Williams presented an eclectic array of clothing from such designers as Chic in Prints, Nerkida Designs, The Sickled Cell, Shop New Echelon, Krush Velvet and Jay R Dee. Palm Beach area designer Cynthia Morrison also launched her uniquely created attire that reflected elements of the French Revolution. Morrison’s wearable art line, aka “En Deuil” presents historically inspired garments. “I cannot express just how wonderful it was being part of this event. The people and fashions were absolutely fabulous.” The fund raising affair will donate proceeds to support “His House” of Miami www.hhch.org that provides shelter and assistance for children in need. Additionally, the event focuses on supporting awareness for Sickle cell epidemic.
